During his stay in Southeast Asia in spring of this year, president of
DIV e.V., Mr. Stefan Miller met at March 23, 2004 with Indonesia Minister for Culture and Tourism, Mr. I Gede Ardika in Jakarta.
During this more than two hour talk, Mr. Miller introduced DIV e.V. with its aims and projects. Additionally he informed Mr. Ardika about
EAF the
European Asian
Federation which has been initiated by DIV e.V. during spring 2004.
He introduced positive aspects of cooperation between these countries and
continents to mutual advance for as well as economy as tourism.

Mr. Ardika explained politics made by his government, to harmonize this for all 240 million inhabitants with different cultures, languages and religions living on thirteen thousand islands.
His sincere interest for cooperation through technology transfer, exchange of knowledge and a high level of education for whole inhabitants, he found well positioned
in association’s targets. |
With statements like:
We, Indonesian Government could imagine a partnership according to motto: Technology from Europe, produced in Indonesia – he confirmed philosophy on which
DIV e.V. is based onto.
On the scale of this information exchange, such topics as roads for transportation in this huge country, currently proposed visa-politics and also planned and expected growing tourists’ figures based on positive aspects of this cooperation with
DIV e.V. have been discussed intensively. Because Mr. Miller, president of
DIV e.V. talked
with Mr. Ardika in Indonesian language, strengthened development of respect
between both parties.

Finally Mr. Ardika and Mr. Miller proposed additional meetings after 2004 elections to establish and promote cooperation with ministry for culture and tourism and additional ministries and authorities of Indonesian government with association’s presidency. These developing momentums – for both countries – should be to large benefit for all parties involved. |
